Savage is available for free throughout the year for everyone, it doesn’t have working hours or permanent attending staff.

It’s located in Vidzeme – between the villages of Drusti and Jaunpiebalga, near Gatarta. It’s possible to get there by car (searching for “Savvaļas izstāde” on Waze and Google maps) and by bus, getting off at the Jaundrusti stop.

What to expect?

We recommend planning at least 2 hours for the visit, but a relaxed walk throughout the entire area takes up a whole day. Even the most difficult routes can be done by kids and elderly people. Nevertheless, while in Savage, everyone is responsible for themselves.

It’s suggested to choose an outdoor outfit, including rubber boots, anti-mosquito sprays will come in handy.

The exhibition can be viewed using the provided map or taking a random route, it’s also possible to swim, take a sauna, use the kitchen and the library and camp on-site.
